The Dublin WtE plant was built on the Poolbeg peninsula in the city’s dock area. It achieves very low emissions and very high efficiency with a combination of modern combustion technology with high steam parameters and a water-cooled condenser. The plant’s net efficiency is over 30%, putting the Dublin WtE plant, along with other HZI installations, at the top of the European efficiency ratings for thermal waste treatment.
