Change in Management: Introduction of the New Chairman of the Board

We are happy to announce that, as of 1 January 2018, Michi Kuwahara succeeded Sadao Mino as Chairman of the Board of Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI). Mr Mino has held the position since June 2015. We would like to thank him for the valuable support he has provided over the past years.
After the acquisition in December 2010 by Hitachi Zosen Corporation (HZC), Michi Kuwahara served as a Member of the Supervisory Board of Hitachi Zosen Inova. He was significantly involved in both the integration process and the development of HZI as part of HZC.
Since joining Hitachi Zosen Corporation in 1986, he has held various leadership roles in the finance sector in both the US as well as Japan. Since March 2015, Mr Kuwahara has served as Associate Executive Officer and General Manager at HZC’s Corporate Planning Department.
We are pleased to have Mr Kuwahara on board and are convinced that his previous experience of working at HZI and his profound professional background will enable HZI’s further growth in the industry.
