Swiss WtE technology for Russia

The government as well as the the corporations would contribute to the decrease of MSW disposal rate of 80% by 2020 in Moscow region.
On 19 June, 2015 within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum the execution of the memorandum on cooperation between the Government of the Moscow Region, State Corporation Rostec and the company Hitachi Zosen Inova AG took place, providing for development of an integrated system for energy recovery from the waste utilization in the Moscow region. The subsidiary of the State Corporation – LLC RT-Invest will be the entity implementing the project. Within the project implementation 15 modern facilities for municipal solid waste (MSW) thermal treatment will be built, which will be used to generate electricity and heat.
Swiss-Russian Cooperation for Zero Landfill
Hitachi Zosen Inova, together with RT-Invest subsidiary of the Rostec Corporation, will be providing the engineering and will act as turnkey supplier of the thermal MSW treatment technology. ”By signing this MOU we are a step closer to realize modern WtE plants with Swiss technology in Russia jointly with local partners,” said Franz Josef Mengede, CEO of Hitachi Zosen Inova. RT-Invest is responsible for procuring favorable financing conditions. The main objective of the project is to achieve zero landfilling volume by 2025 but also to keep the most of the investments inside of Russia through the businesses programs aimed at the manufacturing. The start of the project realization will depend upon the adoption of the decision on the implementation of the green tariff by the Russian government.
