The waste treatment plant to the southeast of Paris will make a substantial contribution to the achievement of France’s ambitious and very sustainable waste management strategy, as well as to the supply of energy to the French capital. Once it commences operation, the WtE plant will provide enough energy to supply 23,000 households with electricity, with an additional 100,000 households provided with district heat generated in the process. The mechanical-biological component of the plant will produce a further 16.7 million cubic metres of biogas a year using HZI Kompogas® technology.
