Mitsutoshi_Tsukasaki

Mitsutoshi Tsukasaki
Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Mitsutoshi Tsukasaki has joined Hitachi Zosen Corporation in 1982 and over the years has held various positions as Mechanical Engineer and Design Engineer for oil and gas plants, and as a Project Engineer and Project Manager for desalination plants. In 2013, Mitsutoshi Tsukasaki took over as General Manager of the Project Execution Department in the EfW field. In his subsequent position as Head of Engineering of the Environmental Division, he was responsible for their overall portfolio: EfW projects, water treatment projects, renewable power plants and desalination projects, both domestic and overseas.

Michi Kuwahara

After the acquisition in December 2010 by Hitachi Zosen Corporation (HZC), Michi Kuwahara served as a Member of the Supervisory Board of Hitachi Zosen Inova. He was significantly involved in both the integration process and the development of HZI as part of HZC. Since joining Hitachi Zosen Corporation in 1986, he has held various leadership roles in the finance sector in both the US as well as Japan. Since March 2015, Mr Kuwahara has served as Associate Executive Officer and General Manager at HZC’s Corporate Planning Department and since April 2018, he is a member of the Executive Officers at Hitachi Zosen Corporation.

Toshiyuki Shiraki

He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Hitachi Zosen Inova AG since 1 April 2019. Since he joined Hitachi Zosen Corporation (HZC) in 1984, he has held key positions in the environmental engineering field and has been involved in international EfW projects in Taiwan, Korea and mainland China. In April 2019, Toshiyuki Shiraki assumed the role of General Manager of Environment Business Headquarters at HZC. Prior to that he was General Manager of Business Planning & Technology Development Headquarters. Since June 2016, he has also served on the HZC Board of Directors. Toshiyuki Shiraki has a master’s degree in environmental and sanitary engineering from Kyoto University.

Bruno-Frédéric Baudouin

Before taking over as CEO of Hitachi Zosen Inova in January 2018 Bruno-Frédéric Baudouin was Operations General Manager for Europe, Africa & large EPC projects worldwide in the Gas Power Systems Division at GE Power, Switzerland. He brings with him many years’ experience in the energy sector, having held a range of managerial positions in Switzerland and abroad. Bruno-Frédéric Baudouin holds two Master of Science of École Polytechnique & École Nationale du Petrole et des Moteurs in France, as well as a Master of Business & Administration of INSEAD in France.

In January 2019 Hitachi Zosen Inova appointed Heiko Wiesner as Chief Financial Officer and Head of Shared Services. Heiko brings with him 25 years of experience in the operational and financial leadership of project and service businesses across the Power and Transport industries. Working for multi-national organisations, he has been based in a number of countries during his career, including Switzerland, UK and Brazil. Heiko Wiesner holds an Executive MBA in Business Engineering from the University of St. Gallen and a Masters in Business Economics from the Helmut-Schmidt University in Hamburg.

Kai Lieball
Director Decarbonisation

Kai Lieball joined Hitachi Zosen Inova in 2003 as a process engineer. He has spent most of his career in proposals and sales for turnkey energy-from-waste plants. He has held a range of managerial positions including risk management and HSE. Kai Lieball holds a degree in process engineering, a PhD in technical sciences and an MAS in management, technology and economics, all from the ETH, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.

Vincenzo Spandri holds a law degree (Juris Doctor) from the University of Bologna. As principal legal partner to our senior leadership he brings a wealth of experience in the legal management of global project businesses. With his team Vincenzo Spandri provides solutions that protect the group’s interests, promote ethics in business and enhance sustainable growth.

Philipp Oberson
Vice President Human Resources

Philipp Oberson was appointed VP Human Resources in November 2021. He joined Hitachi Zosen Inova from Alpiq, where he was head group HR. Together with earlier positions in Lindt & Sprüngli and Schindler Group, he brought 17 years of HR experience at different levels and in different businesses, with responsibility for Swiss and international HR departments. Philipp Oberson holds a master’s in business economics from the University of St. Gallen.

Director HSE

Renato Biso has headed Hitachi Zosen Inova Group’s HSE Department since January 2020. He brings more than 16 years of experience in health, safety and environment at petrochemical plants, oil and gas refineries and power plants for major engineering, procurement and construction companies. He has been involved in a wide range of projects in Europe, the Middle East, and North and South America, covering the construction and commissioning phases in greenfield and brownfield projects and delivering remarkable improvements in HSE performance. Renato Biso has a degree in environment and civil engineering and solid training in HSE matters.

Fabio Dinale
Vice President Business Development

Fabio Dinale joined Hitachi Zosen Inova as Vice President Renewable Gas in early 2019. Since 2020 he has been responsible for the development and implementation of global business operations and growth strategies as Vice President Business Development. With a master’s degree in management engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Fabio Dinale has dedicated his career to international plant engineering and environmental technology for over 20 years. He has worked in Italy, the USA and the United Arab Emirates, among other places, and brings a wealth of experience from various project management and leadership functions.

Before joining HZI in February 2015, Daniel Dreier headed several large EPC projects worldwide as a project director at ALSTOM Power. He has more than 25 years of experience in the EPC business in different functions and has worked several years abroad. Daniel Dreier holds a master’s in mechanical engineering from the ETH, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.

Thomas Feilenreiter
Vice President Service Solutions

Thomas Feilenreiter took over as VP of the Service Solutions business unit in March 2022. He has over 30 years of experience in the energy and environmental business. During this time he has held various senior executive positions at companies including LAB SA, Lyon, CNIM SA, Paris and Steinmüller, Gummersbach. He has worked both nationally and internationally, with a focus on the whole of Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia and the USA. Thomas Feilenreiter holds a degree in engineering from the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany.

lberto Izquierdo joined HZI in March 2018, first as Vice President Project Office & Operational Excellence, and from April 2020 as Vice President Renewable Gas. Previously he worked for around two decades in the international energy and gas business as a project director, and was also active in quality assurance and strategic planning. Alberto Izquierdo holds degrees in industrial and electrical engineering from Valencia Polytechnic University and ESTP Paris and an executive MBA from IE Business School.

Before joining Hitachi Zosen Inova, Olivier Berger was CEO of ADPI, a design consultancy company that is a leader in airport infrastructures and systems, and was previously global head of engineering and responsible for the project office at Suez International. In the early stage of his career Olivier Berger held several project and general management positions in design & build activities within the energy and infrastructure sectors worldwide. He holds two master’s of science from the École Polytechnique & École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in France.

Thierry Dulong
Vice President Supply Chain Management

Thierry Dulong joined Hitachi Zosen Inova in May 2018 as Managing Director France, Spain & Portugal, and was then appointed VP Supply Chain Management in October 2018. Prior to joining HZI, Thierry Dulong was general manager EMEA for EPC renewable power, including CSP solar, geothermal & biomass, at GE Renewable Energy. Thierry Dulong has a strong background in supply chain and business unit leadership in the power industry, where he has held several managerial positions. He has a master’s in industrial purchasing from KEDGE Bordeaux in France and a global executive MBA from IESE in Spain.

Ayami joined Hitachi Zosen Inova in May 2022. Prior to that she worked at McKinsey and Siemens in Japan and Switzerland. She brings both strategic and operational experience covering strategy, marketing, business excellence, compliance, post-merger Integration, culture change and mental health. Ayami holds a master’s degree in development studies from the University of East Anglia (UK) and a master’s in European Studies from the City University of Applied Sciences (Germany).

Touffik Fredj
Vice President Regional Growth Group

Touffik was appointed VP Regional Growth Group and External Affairs at Hitachi Zosen Inova in December 2021. He brings more than 20 years of experience in business development for emerging markets, with a successful track record in advocacy and external affairs built in the course of co-leading development for infrastructures, large power stations and transportation projects. After gaining a master’s degree in political science studies, Touffik started his career with four years at the Ministry of Finance & Industry at the French Embassy in Algeria.
