Reliable technology – continuously improved and optimized

Grate combustion is the best-proven thermal waste treatment technology. For more than 100 years, this process has been successfully deployed in well over 1,000 plants. It has been continuously optimized, developed and adjusted to changing statutory conditions and requirements. Today, grate combustion is the most advanced technology with regard to environmental friendliness, operating reliability, flexibility and cost-effectiveness. The main features of our reliable grate combustion are:

 

  • Robust and reliable construction
  • Suitable for untreated and pre-treated waste (except for hazardous waste)
  • Various configurations for the reliable treatment of waste across the entire calorific value range from 6 to 18 MJ/kg
  • Grate sizes able to cover a large range of waste capacities per line (4 t/h to 40 t/h, 16 MW to 110 MW)
  • Air- or water-cooled grate blocks for optimized treatment and extended lifetime
