Waste separation before or after the incineration process is an important prerequisite for material and thermal recovery. Indeed, slag is literally a "gold mine" as well. Its content of valuable materials (such as copper, aluminum, gold, and silver) is at least as high as that of freshly excavated ore.

Integrated waste treatment facilities
This fact must be taken into consideration in plant engineering as well. Accordingly, it is our stated goal to plan and build progressively integrated waste treatment facilities for our customers, and to minimize or reduce to zero the volume of discards. In such plants, recycling (material recovery) and incineration (energy recovery) are located at the same site.
